B'town heroes are 'train'ed

They dance here, they fight here, they even fall in love here. No, it's not Kashmir; nor is it Filmistan (did you really think we were so predictable?) Did someone say train? On track!

If Hollywood is all about high-fliers, read “Air Force One”, “Con Air” and “Top Gun”, Bollywood has always been well grounded – remember “Sholay”, “Burning Train”, “Gadar”, “Dil Se”, and scores of other movies that have immortalised the aam aadmi’s humble means of transport? There’s more.
1x1 polls
When SRK had to chhaiya chhaiya with Malaika, nothing but a train-top would do. When Hrithik, the tech-savvy superchor of “Dhoom:2” had to scoot with his loot, it wasn’t in a Batmobile or superplane. Nope, he preferred to chug away, dancing down the corridor to Ashok Kumar’s rail-gaadi, for all you know.
That’s not without its risks, though. Ask John Abraham. The actor has injured himself badly, trying to run from one moving train into another, all for an edge-of-the-seat action thrill for the movie goer. But hey, the hero has his reasons. Think about it. Can you imagine Raj Kumar being moved to poetry catching a glimpse of Meena Kumari’s feet on a low-cost carrier? Aap ke paon dekhe, bahut haseen hain, inhen zameen par mat utaryega maile hojayenge... That’s vintage stuff. Nothing less than the sepia-tinted romance of a gently swaying train will do.
